Does female endowment cause bigger tips?

Does male wealth cause greater female attraction?

In the first test, I attribute the increase in females’ tipping to the validating feeling of an attractive female peer smiling and being friendly toward them. (The Mythbusters’ Keri Byron is smiling in every shot.) In fact, this was probably a significant factor in the males’ increased generosity as well. I would like to see impact of the same experiment done again without her smiling at anyone.

In the second test, it seems that the women were not rating the males’ physical attractiveness so much as the men’s overall desirability as theoretical spouses. The test would have been stronger if both groups of women had been asked to rate the “physical attractiveness” of the same headshots with the only difference being that the second group of women would be told “each of the following men have a net worth in excess of one million dollars.” I think males can rate female physical attractiveness with high consistency, while allowing factors (such as belief systems or smoking) to make them more or less interested in dating a particular woman.
